Gizmondo plans Widescreen Handheld Game
Gizmondo has confirmed that they are planning a release of a widescreen version of their GPS enabled handheld game. We discussed their original launch HERE. Seems like they have announced the upgrade before even launching the original product here in the States. Either brilliant - people love hype, or Short Sighted - "Forget the original, I hear they have a widescreen coming".
Recall that these are loaded with a GPS receiver and GSm to work with mobile networks so tha tyou can play some locaiton based games. The new Widescreen would be available with a 4 inch widescreen, 480 x 272 pixel LCD, built-in 802.11b/g WiFi, at least a 500MHz processor, GSM/GPRS, GPS, an SD card slot, an analog TV-out port, Bluetooth, USB On-The-Go, and a built-in two megapixel digital camera. Specs are different, but looks like a sony PSP, eh?
Planned release is Q2 of 2006.
