Customize Splash Screen on your TomTom GO 300 or TomTom GO 700

The folks at TomTom have laid out how to change the splash screen on the TomTom GO 300 and TomTom GO 700 so you can check out your own picture on start up and shut down. This involved swapping out the splash.bmp file in the GPS unit. I saw this file and toyed with the very same idea when I was writing a review on the TomTom GO 300 here at the GPS Lodge (read the review), but thought that I'd better not as it was a loaner unit and I didn't want to sent it back with a picture us here at the GPS Lodge on the thing!
