Garmin GPS Sold through Ford Dealers
Garmin announced today that several GPS units in their line will be sold through Ford dealers in Germany. With the developing market in automotive GPS units, and the gap in cars that offer built-in GPS units, this looks like a great deal for Garmin and a decent deal for Ford. They will be offering the entry level Garmin StreetPilot i3
, as well as two entries from the mid-tier c-series line: the StreetPilot c310 (a Euro version of the C320) and the Garmin Streetpilot C330
.
"This announcement is one of our newest European automotive partnerships, and is yet another example of our expanding presence in Europe," said Gary Kelley, Garmin's vice president of marketing. "Garmin products are highly sought after in Europe because they are easy to use, require no installation, and allow drivers to find their destination quickly and hassle-free."
I would also add that they can be moved from car to car, go on trips and dropped into carry-on luggage to help navigate new cities without the hassle of a map.
Ausgezeichnet!
