GPS For your Pet: Global Pet Finder
You have a GPS, why can't the dog? The GPS market has gone to the dogs! Sorry, I just had to say that, well and pot this. Not our usual fare, but here you go.
Now your dog can have a GPS, well and a mobile phone module. The Global Pet Finder unit
is designed to give the owner peace of mind when the pet is wandering the neighborhood. The service allows you to set a boundary around your house to let the pet wander in, while th on-board gps unit tracks your pet and lets you know where your pet is, and especially if it wanders outside your pre-set boundary.
The Global Pet Finder consists of a GPS tracking device and a cellular transmitter. When the five-ounce, water resistant device is attached to the protective snap-guard, it slips easily onto your pet's collar, halter or harness. The unit runs on three included, rechargeable AAA batteries (a charger is also included).
The Global Pet finder service notifies you over mobile phones or PDA's as long as there is mobile service where your pet wanders. The other cool thing is that you can send a signal to the service and get a message back on exactly where your pet is. The service is highly configurable, and you are able to sign on to change settings at any time.
The Global Pet Finder
is available at Amazon with FREE SHIPPING for $349.
