Garmin StreetPilot C330 - Gadget of the Week

Time magazine has named the popular Garmin Streetpilot C330 their gadget of the week this week. Time really liked it for its ease of use, and its on-board battery that allows you to do navigation planning outside of you car. More and more I think this is a huge deal. I find myself sitting in my house talking about where we are going, and doing the route planning there. Without the battery, I'd be stuck in the garage figuring out where we are going, trying to yell into the house asking which place we were going to. Time also liked the ease of use right out of the box. The Garmin StreetPilot C330 is a step down from the Garmin StreetPilot C340 in the C-series line. When we used the Garmin StreetPilot C340, we loved it, and hated to send it back (see our review).

So, Time didn't like the screen and had a lot of glare issues with it. We didn't have a lot of trouble with glare. When you are in the absolute direct sun, yea life is tough, but that didn't last long, and didn't change my overall impression.
