Magellan eXplorist 210 Outdoor Bundle
Magellan launched the eXplorist 210 last summer (see our article), and they are going to be launching a new bundle for this spring. The new bundled package called the eXplorist 210 Outdoor Bundle, where you get not only the GPS receiver but also MapSend Topo 3D USA software, a cigarette lighter adapter, USB cable and clip case.
The Magellan eXplorist 210 has 22MB of memory to take those Topo maps along with you on the trail. The eXplorist 210 is a step up from entry level handheld GPS units, as it has mapping capabilities, along with the speedy download via USB cable. The screen is monochrome, which is a standard feature in this class. Compare the Magellan eXplorist 210 vs. the Garmin eTrex Legend. The Garmin eTrex Legend has less memory, and connects via serial cable which is very slow, but that's what you get for the lower price.
The Magellan eXplorist 210 Outdoor bundle will be available in April for a street price of $299.
