Mio C210 GPS Now Available for Europe

Mio previously announced the Mio C210 for Europe, and it is now available for purchase. This little design beauty is power packed with the SiRF star III GPS chipset for high quality reception a 2.7” touch screen, and a speed camera Point of Interest database that can be updated through Mio free for a year. The entry level Mobile GPS is being positioned as a GPS with above entry-level features. At about $300, the thing is a great deal for what’s offered, and would raise the bar for entry level GPS units should it hit the shores of the US. I am currently using the Mio C310, and am impressed with it. I’ll be writing up my review in a few days, but after using the C310, I have confidence that the Mio C210 will be a good sound product at this price. The Mio C210 unit has additional data loaded via SD card, and comes traffic capable if you want to add the optional service.
The C210 is programmed with an extensive range of Points Of Interest (POI), arranged into easy to use categories such as restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, cash machines, parking, shops etc.
Many of the POIs now include phone numbers. So now you can find the location of a good restaurant or hotel and phone ahead to make a reservation.
The C210 makes it easy to quickly look up POI’s close to your current location or those situated along your chosen route.
Thanks to the pedestrian mode, you can use the C210 to explore Europe on foot. It navigates as smoothly in the historical downtown of Barcelona as on the highway traversing France. To do this, you’ll need to feed it 4 “AA” batteries.
The C210 takes account of the way you want to travel on the road as well. Choose the type of vehicle you’re using, the type of route you prefer, even the type of road. After all, if you want to walk you’ll probably want to take a different route to when you go by car or cycle. Whether you want to avoid toll roads, go by the quickest way possible or take the shortest route, the C210 shows you which way to go.
In the box you’ll receive:

Windscreen suction mount
