New GPS: Averatec Voya 350

averatecvoya350.jpg

Averatec Inc launched its first product for the consumer electronics market with the Voya 350 personal navigation system. Overall, the product similar features to a lot of other GPS products on the market. The Voya 350 has voice prompts, and automatic route calculation, a 3.5 inch touch screen and comes with pre-loaded NAVTEQ maps. It has 1.6 million POI's, a few million less than some of the market leading devices. It has a helix type antenna that should give it solid GPS reception.

The Voya 350 should be available in the US for around $400.

UPDATE: See a Review of the Averatec Voya 350 here at the GPS Lodge.
