GPS units in the press
A couple of stories on GPS units in the news that I wanted to pass along. The first is from the NYTimes that has a general overview on the GPS market, and how they are expanding beyond just navigation. If you’ve been a reader here you know all this already: NavMan and its ability to take pictures, traffic feeds through FM and XM satellite, music players, picture viewers and even form video players.
Another story came out of the LA Times that takes a more cynical look at GPS units, but again doesn’t offer anything that you probably already know. Anyway, sometimes it’s interesting to see what mass media is publishing to help understand what the masses think about GPS navigators.
