The company’s decision to use BOOST as its platform is driven by the cost and flexibility advantages that pre-paid services provides to the end user. This is good isn’t it? Guardian Angel Technology has announced a new line of GPS-equipped cell phones for its Guardian Angel tracking system. The new phones come from BOOST Mobile, offering pre-paid services to consumers. The company’s decision to use BOOST as its platform is driven by the cost and flexibility advantages that pre-paid services provides to the end user.
With prepaid services, the consumer can better control and budget their expense, without the long-term service plan commitment traditional with postpaid contracts. A user simply “BOOSTS” their phone(s) with the dollar amount that they need for the service that they need, when they need it. This method is particularly ideal for families that intend the phone(s) to be used by small children, where there is often the anxiety that a “mistake” shows up as a totally unexpected charge on their phone bill.
If a Guardian Angel phone is intended for use by teenagers, once again the prepaid method provided by BOOST mitigates the possibility of overage and overuse charges. BOOST Mobile ™ cell phones and the Guardian Angel Technology product are both targeted toward the youth market, making the two an ideal combination.
The Guardian Angel Technology GPS application is imbedded onto the cell phone, from where it continually transmits location information to the Guardian Angel servers. Parents or legal guardians can subsequently login to a secure website that displays the current location of the GPS phone(s). Historical location information is available for a period of 30 days. In addition, if the cell phone holder is traveling in a vehicle, speed and direction of travel is also displayed
