Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007

ms-streets-trips-985.jpg

So Microsoft has launched their Streets and Trips 2007 software. The software package Microsoft Streets and Trips 2007 with GPS Locator ships with a new pharos GPS module that uses the SiRF star III chipset for a highly accurate reading in tough conditions. The upgrade is a welcome addition as the SiRF star III chipset has become almost a cost of entry for the GPS world. The low power draw is also a big plus. Microsoft Streets and Trips 2007(software only) is also available. The version with the GPS receiver will cost $129 (list), and the software only version will cost $39 (list).

These prices are comparable to the Delorme StreetAtlas 2007 prices, although a StreetAtlas 2007 DVD + GPS LT-20 bundle is available for $99. We have the StreetAtlas 2007 in for review and are putting it through its paces. There's a lot there and its taking us a while to get things summarized and wrapped up.
