Nuvis Selling like, well Hot Cakes
I usually check how things are selling over at Amazon on a pretty regular basis to see what's hot and what's not. (Hey, I know a little geeky, but I run a GPS Blog.) Well in a little life lesson, I think that they got the pricing right on the Nuvi 350, Nuvi 360. and the Nuvi 660, as they have steadily risen to top sellers over the last couple of weeks. (More Info on Nuvi's? See our post to Compare the Nuvi 350 vs. 360 vs. 660, or our Garmin Nuvi 660 Review.)
With the two big price drops in the first week on the Nuvi 660, it came from about 25th to 2nd in the GPS Sales Rank. Meanwhile, the TomTom ONE has not fared as well keeping a lock on its price, and hanging out at about 25th or so. Ultimately, Garmin is defending their home market admirably, but if TomTom dropped the price on the ONE to $399, you'd see those fly off the shelves too. (I mentioned this in my Editorial "8 Things I would do if I were TomTom.") Stay tuned....
