Pure Value Play - Garmin C330 at less than $300

Ok, so we've covered the incredible details about the amazing popularity of the Nuvi 660, well let's look at the entry level. Yesterday I posted a comparison of the Garmin C-series line, saying that if you can afford to, you should skip the C320 because it's not pre-loaded with maps. One of our readers, Justin, pointed out the true bargain that can be had if you buy the C320 and want to load your own maps onto a 1GB SD card. Yes, at today's prices, you can buy a Garmin StreetPilot C320 ($279) and a 1GB SD ($18) card for less than $300. With a little work to download the maps from the included disc to the SD card, you will have all of the US and Canada plus Points of Interest on your Garmin C320 for less than $300. With very little work, there's no better bargain. Thanks Justin.
So, I stand by my reco to skip over the C320 and go to the C330 with pre-loaded maps, with one caveat. This is for the beginner, who wants navigation out of the box, and s/he should move up to the C330, as it will get you there without a doubt out of the box. If you don't mind loading maps onto an SD card, that will take you an hour+ to do, you have a perfectly good solution for less than $300 at this writing.
