Magellan RoadMate AAA RS2.0

Magellan, announced partnerships with four of the largest regional AAA clubs to make a customized version of the award-winning Magellan RoadMate portable auto navigation products available to AAA members. We recently saw Rand McNally launch a branded GPS of their own dropping helpful travel content into a GPS in the form of ready-made road trips. The AAA club is famous for their travel information, and the fact that they have access to millions of car-centric people in their clubs. Looks like they may just access those wallets with this one.

This special edition of the Magellan RoadMate is the only auto navigation device to integrate the AAA TourBook guide listings for quick routing to AAA rated hotels, restaurants, and attractions. In addition, the customized product will offer Magellan’s voice- and text- guided turn-by-turn directions with nationwide street maps preloaded on the built-in hard drive for door-to-door guidance anywhere in North America. AAA Mid-Atlantic, California State Automobile Association, AAA Western and Central New York, and AAA Auto Club South will offer the Magellan RoadMate AAA RS2.0 to its members through their online stores and club offices.

The Magellan RoadMate AAA RS2.0 is small (5in x 4in x 1.5in) and lightweight, making it easy to move from car to car or for packing in a suitcase. The 3.5 inch, color touch screen and buttons provide fast, one-touch access to key features. QuickSpell™ technology allows fast address entry, and the simple, intuitive user interface lets drivers easily select their destination and get on the road quickly while seeing their progress in a 2-D or 3-D bird’s eye view of the moving map. Each device has an integrated battery, photo viewer, music player, and other useful features, like multi-destination routing and route optimization - ideal for drivers who travel to several destinations in a single day.
