Black Friday GPS Update
OK; I am going on record to tell you to get out there early. I had been hoping that the Deals on the GPS units, specifically the Mio C310x were going to go relatively unnoticed when compared to the computers and the TVs by the greater community at large. GPS systems are pretty big in my life; I mean hey, I write a blog on them and everything, but I wasn't sure about how big they were for other folks. Judging from the volume of traffic, emails and inquiries about the Mio C310x deal, I think that this will be a big quick sellout on them. So I would advise getting out there early. Good luck.

I looked at this best.buy deal for the magellan roadmate 760, but rejected it because it is a refurbished unit. Normally, I don't mind refurb because they come with the same warranty as new. But in this case the warranty is for only 90 days. Magellan customer service told me that there is also no way to extned the warranty. Therefore, I opted to buy this unit at amazon for $352 and got a new one with a year's warranty. They also had a 5 percent discount, which, unfortunately ended yesterday, 11-20.
Mike,
I can't tell you where the best place is for getting these deals in your area. It's such a game and pends on what the other hot items are that the store is selling and how densely populated the area is around the store. Like I said above, there is a lot of traffic searching on this C310x unit, so expect some decent competition for one of these.

Hey guys, looks like TomTom's got its holiday pricing up on their website. All PNDs are $50 off. Not a bad deal for a Tomtom One, $450.
