Clifford Scout 420 Wins CES Innovation Award

So some were perplexed and even pissed off when we reported on the Clifford Scout 420 GPS that resembles a Sony PSP. Well, the Clifford Scout 420 just received an Innovation Award for the CES 2007 show. The Clifford Scout420 SIRIUS-Ready Portable Navigation System and Personal Media Player is a multi-faceted portable navigation system with pre-loaded North American maps and more than 2 million points of interest, which also functions as a 20GB Personal Media Player with a large bright 4.3 inch color touch-screen. Unlike any other combined portable navigation system and PMP on the market, the Scout420 is also SIRIUS-Ready! The optional SIRIUS Cradle (MSRP: $99) for the Scout420 allows it to receive SIRIUS Satellite Radio ($12.95/mo.). The Scout420 features a 100 channel FM transmitter, AV-in and Mini-USB for recording from TV, DVD or camcorder, a compact portable design and 3-hour internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It comes with a carrying case, cigarette lighter adapter, AC adapter, car mounting kit, USB cable, memory card, and owner's guide. The product will be available in late February with an expected street price of $699.
