GPS Steals and Deals - 1/20/07
I'm pretty happy to see prices staying down after the holiday discounting for those of us who didn't get exactly what we wanted; now's the chance to jump on that new GPS.
Some nice and unexpected news is that Fry's is back selling cheap Mio C310x systems; they aren't cheap, but the price is: $198 with free shipping. - Check out my review of the Mio C310x.
The other low priced unit that hit radar screen this week is the Via Michelin X930. There are some mixed reviews on the unit; so read up on it. If you decide that it's for you, the price is right: Via Michelin X930 - $199 at Amazon.
The Nuvi 350 - Best Selling GPS at Amazon - Nuvi's are selling hard with the recent price drops, Flat is in and these prices are way down from a few weeks ago:
Garmin Nuvi 350– recent price drops put it around $470; Down $200 in a couple of months.
Garmin Nuvi 360 is now around $540; a few months ago this was well over $600.

Garmin Nuvi 660 - Price hovering around $735 or so at Amazon, Very dynamic. Anything under $760 is a good price. See our review - Also check out the GPSNow site for what has been often a lower price ($729 this morning), and Order by 5PM weekdays, you get same day cheap shipping.
Garmin StreetPilot C330 – Now below $325 for this very capable, maps pre-loaded device. Last year this was selling for the mid-to upper $400’s.
Garmin StreetPilot C340 – Think about moving up to the Garmin C530 whose price is down to $399. Better chipset, and better screen for about the same price ($10 more).

The TomTom 910 has come down A LOT in the last few months, and is about $540 for this widescreened unit. Great if you have a Bluetooth phone and can use the TomTom PLUS system for weather, traffic (with subscription) and more.
Lowrance iWay 350C – $100 rebate right now. Net price around $270. Mid Tier model that we reviewed earlier this year. Highly configurable. Rebate now extended through 1/15.
