GPS Steals and Deals - 4/14

A few key postings this week:

  • The New TomTom RIDER 2 was announced for Europe.
  • The Mio C220 was announced for the US.
  • I reviewed the V7 Navigator 1000, and posted about a review on the new Magellan Maestro Line.
  • I posted about the potential for the Nuvi 380 with MSN Direct.

  • Over at GPS Tracklog, Rich posted a story on new 1:24,000 Scale Maps of Colorado for the Garmin handheld line.


    Highlights

  • The Nuvi 680 is selling through a Ford Dealer at Amazon - $899 - see my hands on Review of the Nuvi 680. Read Why a Ford dealer is selling the Nuvi 680.
  • Very solid Garmin Nuvi 350 dropped to $398, and it's a HOT seller at Amazon.More info on the Nuvi 350.

  • Garmin Nuvi 360 adds Bluetooth to the Nuvi 350 capabilities and is now around $449.
  • TomTom ONE - around $290 See my Review of the TomTom ONE.



    The usual Steals and Deals

  • Fry's is still blowing out the Mio C310x at $189 .

  • Staples has a couple of GPS Units at $199 - The Mio C310x and the Lowrance 250C

  • Garmin Forerunner Rebate - $50 back on a Forerunner 205 or 305, which drops the prices down significantly. See my Review of the Forerunner 205.

  • Garmin Nuvi 670 - Need to travel to Europe and navigate when you get there? Garmin Nuvi 670 comes pre-loaded with both US and Euro maps. It's the very capable Nuvi 660 base unit with the extra maps pre-loaded.

  • Garmin StreetPilot C330 – Now around $260 for this very capable, maps pre-loaded device.
  • Garmin StreetPilot C340 – for $315
