PCMag has a new review up of the upcoming Mio C520- the new widescreen entry from Mio that offers a lot for a small price. The unit also offers a split screen when navigating so that you can be aware of your upcoming turns. The unit runs an updated Mio Map software that facilitates the split screen as well as drive its Text to Speech, Bluetooth handsfree feature, a new “North up 3-D” view and a new simplified user interface. I have the Mio C520 scheduled in for a review at the GPSLodge in the next couple of weeks, so I am interested to see how all of the new features work. (I just recently posted my review of the Mio C220.)The Mio C520 also boasts music and video player capability and comes with conversion software to get your videos in MP4 format.
PCMag seemed to like the new features, although couldn’t get some of the Bluetooth features to work. At $400 list price, Mio continues to light a fire under the GPS market to drive prices down and include more features in the units at those lower prices.

I have had a 520t for a month or so and it's magnificent. If anything the advertising is too low key - I've discovered things that were not expected and most seem valuable. I love the large screen, the greatly detalied mapping, the POIs that I can add, the traffic jam warnings and the routes offered to skirt jams. Ok it is a bit slow at times but not when you really need speed (and I imagine softwear updates will speed thing up). The windscreen connection works well and the case is pretty good. It's rare to buy any electronic thing which exceeds expectations but the Mio does.
Cannot imagine why it's not more widely avilable in UK (London). I tried the Garmin and the Navman before the Mio and neither was as good. Keep up the good work, Mio.
As far as the navigation system is concerned, it works well. However, the bluetooth does not work anymore. One time it was there; the next, it was gone. I went back to the store. The sales assistant just reset it and the bluetooth capability returned. However after a few days, it just went off again. I didn't bother trying to reactivate it. The other important issue with the model is I can't reset the time anymore. Even resetting it does not help. So I have to make do with it being late by an hour.
