GlobalSat GH-615 Fitness Training GPS Watch

GlobalSat has announced the GH-615 GPS fitness watch that includes a SiRF star III and is water resistant to IPX7 standards. The unit will record your tracks for analysis later. The unit can also be paired with a heart rate monitor. From their press release, “For hikers, runners, bikers, skiers or any other athlete who incorporates GPS technology to fine tune their workout, the GH-615M GPS wrist watch is the ideal device. The watch utilizes state-of-the-art technology including the SiRF Star III GPS chipset that is available in all the new product lines. The wrist watch also supports WAAS / EGNOS for superior precision marking and has enough memory to store up to 60,000 waypoints. The GH-615M records and stores traveled routes using pre-set time intervals on its oversized LCD screen, displaying GPS coordinates, speed, heart rate, altitude, laps, time/alarm functions and various other functions.”
Because the GH-615M is IPX7 water resistant, it is perfect for use in the wettest outdoor conditions. It can also be connected via a USB cable (included) to double as a GPS receiver for laptops. This functionality keeps users connected whether they are in the office, in a vehicle or outdoors.
Recorded data is downloaded to a PC where it can be saved into formats for use by a variety of third party programs such as Google Earth and Google Maps. File formats include .CSV, .TXT and .KML
