New Magellan Handhelds on their Way?

Rich over at GPSTracklog is reporting that Magellan may just have a new handheld on the way which would be announced at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer show that is happening August 7 & 8 near Ogden, UT. It would not be a surprise to me or nearly anyone that they would be upgrading their eXplorist line and from what Rich tells us, it sounds like they are planning a big intro.

Let's hope that they don't just match the Garmin line of excellent handhelds which have been steadily improving over the years and chewing up market share in the process. The features to beat right now are on the DeLorme PN-20 handheld with color satellite imagery capability. Cool.
