Garmin Nuvi 200W Review
There’s a good review up on the UK Website Trusted Reviews for the new Garmin Nuvi 200W widescreen GPS navigator that is just hitting the market. The unit features a high sensitivity receiver and a thin design that offers a lot of touchscreen and only one button on the top for powering on, off and locking it in the off position.
I always like to read Euro based reviews of Garmin and TomTom units, as the roles are reversed there, where TomTom owns half the market, and is the expectations setting unit against which everything else is compared. The bar is set high in general when Garmin units are reviewed over there. The biggest complaints I have heard is in reporting that the Garmin interface looks cartoonish, and Trusted Reviews reiterate that accusation, but they admit that the bright colors and thick road lines make things very easy to read. In my review of the Garmin Nuvi 250, I noted that the interface for this Nuvi line was softened a bit and made a bit friendlier, which may have helped the situation.
Net the review for the new Nuvi 200W is a positive one, noting the ease of use and the rock solid navigation. Not a surprise, as that is what Garmin is known for. If you want to read more about the entire experience, take a look at the review for yourself, and if you know what doddle” means exactly, you’re one step ahead of me.
