GPS Steals and Deals - 8/19
Want a Free GPS? - Sign up for our Mailing List and we're going to give a Garmin Nuvi 350 away to one lucky winner at the end of August.
I continue to see Sunday Circulars for specials in Bricks and Mortar stores with claims of $50-$100 off a GPS; the prices are still $30 - $50 higher than prices online at sites like Amazon. Example; Best Buy has the Garmin Nuvi 350 for $399; ($100 off), it's $369 everyday at Amazon with free shipping, Exceptions this week are for TomTom ONE XLs - $349 online and at Best Buy.
Two things hit me this week as notable:
1. The Nuvi 250 is under $300 this week ($296) for the first time, while the Nuvi 200 is $274. Both very nice prices for these units. See my Hands on Review of the Nuvi 250 for an idea of how well this will perform. Maps are the only difference: Nuvi 200: Continental U.S., Hawaii and Puerto Rico (no Alaska or Canada detail), NUvi 250: All of North America (no Mexico).
2. TomTom ONE Refurb - <$200 - If you can deal with a refurbished unit, this may be the best deal under $200.
The #1 selling GPS is the Garmin Nuvi 350 still at about $369. I believe that the Nuvi 350 is the best value out there – great capabilities at a very good price. More info on the Nuvi 350. Enter to win at Nuvi 350 here at GPSLodge.com.
Garmin Nuvi 360 adds Bluetooth to the Nuvi 350 capabilities and is now $444.

Garmin Nuvi 670 - Need to travel to Europe and navigate when you get there? Garmin Nuvi 670 comes pre-loaded with both US and Euro maps. It's the very capable Nuvi 660 base unit with the extra maps pre-loaded. Also consider the Nuvi 370, or the Nuvi 270 which also have Euro Maps pre-loaded. (Confused? Compare the Nuvi line here)

TomTom ONE - $225 with FREE SHIPPING. It’s the #2 selling GPS at Amazon; Best GPS at this price. The new TomTom ONE XL is back to $349. Read my Review of the TomTom ONE XL.

While the Nuvi 350 is currently the number one selling GPS unit, the features and the sleeker design of the new Nuvi 260 will drive it into the lead....as soon as Garmin decides to ship them to dealers and the market pushes the street price of the 260 below that of the 350.
