GPS Steals and Deals - 9/7

Notable News:

The Widescreen Garmin Nuvi 200W and 250W have dropped in price to be very competitive. I just posted my review of the Nuvi200W/250W yesterday.

Units in the ~$200 - $300 range

The Nuvi 250 is ~ $300 this week ($309), while the Nuvi 200 is $274. Both very nice prices for these units. See my Hands on Review of the Nuvi 250 for an idea of how well this will perform. Maps are the only difference: Nuvi 200: Continental U.S., Hawaii and Puerto Rico (no Alaska or Canada detail), Nuvi 250: All of North America (no Mexico).

The #1 selling GPS is the Garmin Nuvi 350 still at about $369. I believe that the Nuvi 350 is the best value out there – great capabilities at a very good price. More info on the Nuvi 350.

Garmin Nuvi 360 adds Bluetooth to the Nuvi 350 capabilities and is now $446.

Widescreen GPS Units

The Nuvi 650 offers the widescreen and no Bluetooth or traffic for $469.

The Nuvi 680 is selling at Amazon - $669 - see my Hands on Review of the Nuvi 680.

The Magellan Maestro 4000 is selling in the low $300's, widescreen with AAA POI content - No Text to Speech. Ted sent in a message that the Maestro is also selling at this price at BJ's Wholesale Club - might be worth a trip if you are a member. Thanks Ted.
