Navigon 2100
I have posted my
Full Review of the Navigon 2100.
Compare the Navigon 2100 vs 5100 vs 7100
Navigon announced the Navigon 2100, an entry level GPS system that offers the basics plus some reaching features that makes the offering interesting. The unit which lists at $249, offers a standard screen size of 3.5-inches, SiRF star III chipset, a 400Mhz processor, NAVTEQ maps of the US, as well as text-to-speech which is often only seen on higher end models. With the announcement of the Garmin Nuvi 260, an entry level line with text-to-speech (TTS) capabilities, it seems like rolling the TTS feature down the lines is becoming a very welcome trend. Like its siblings, the Navigon 7100 and 5100, the Navigon 2100 will offer Reality View, a 3-D view of complex intersections that gives you a virtual reality view of where to go.
Additionally, the unit will offer a lifetime subscription to TMC traffic for $99, and access to its Zagat data for $39. Look for the Navigon 2100 to hit shelves “this winter”.
