FineDrive M300
The new FineDrive M300 is a light and slim (0.68 inches deep) little GPS from Fine Digital. The unit comes equipped with pre-loaded NAVTEQ maps of North America, and about 1.5+ million Points of Interest. The unit has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, and offers an MP3 player, although the music can only be played when the GPS is not in use. I’ve seen a couple of these, and a lot of times this is a result of the fact that the maps are on the SD card, and in the SD card slot that you need access to in order to load the music.

New GPS: FineDrive M300 in Korea
So FineDrive is back at it after some re-work, and has launched a new tablet-tized GPS wonder device with integrated T-DMB receiver and PMP capabilities. The FineDrive M300 is going to Korea with a 3 GB hard drive, and the ability to play music and video on this little GPS navigation device. The 3.5 inch screen might not be the same as the Plasma 52” TV that you have at home, but this might get you where you are going. Recall we’ve had some issues with the FineDrive navigation as our readers have spoken up about its reliability……

GPS Review: FineDrive 400 GPS

The Fine Drive 400 was announced late last year, and since then has gotten quite a few negative comments on our site about its function and its reliability in rainy weather. Given that our readers had such mixed reaction to the unit (scroll to the bottom of the annoucement link above), it seems to me that it's an unknown and not something you would want to buy before you try. Well the folks over at CNet have the same low opinion of the FineDrive 400 as many of our readers, as they gave it a 3.7 out of 10.
Update: Thinking of buying this unit? Make sure you read the comments below this post and over at this post where it was announced. A lot of readers have a lot to say about this unit!
