Definitely a deal to check out - 5-inch screen AND it's connected for local search, HD traffic and more. This TomTom GO LIVE 1535 has local search powered by Google, plus a suite of helper apps that are targeted to making your travel easier, including: Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Expedia. The GO LIVE services offer HD Traffic, fuel prices, and voice recognition and Bluetooth Handsfree capability. The maps of Mexico, the US, and Canada are includes and come with a lifetime upgrade package - no more severely out of date maps!
Anyway, I thought it was a good enough deal to buy one myself to check out. I will have some posts on it in the coming weeks.

Amazon Black Friday Deals Early on GPS
Today there are a handful of pretty good deals on GPS units at Amazon. The unit range from handheld Garmins to popular brands of Automotive Navigation. The prices on the auto models are pretty good, some as good as the already mentioned BlackFriday GPS Deals that are out at other retailers.

The Garmin Nuvi 2350LMT is Amazon's Deal of the Day today and is on sale for $149. The Nuvi 2350 LMT comes with lifetime map updates, and lifetime traffic updates, as well as a healthy set of features including Lane Assist and Junction View - which give you a quick look at where you need to be in that upcoming confusing intersection before it's too late. The MyTrends feature learns your normal driving routes and starts to replicate them when giving you directions. This combined with a traffic sense can have this Nuvi learning the roads like a local who knows the traffic problems before you do.

Deal of the Day - Garmin Nuvi 1370T -$159
Amazon has another Deal fo the Day for you - this time it's the high end Nuvi 1370T, a feature packed unit that is pretty well priced at $159.
Garmin does its usual job of solid routing, but adds in maps of North America and Europe, Free lifetime traffic updates, Lane assistance (shows you which lane to be in as you approach highway intersections), and Bluetooth handsfree calling through your compatible phone. The Nuvi 1370T debuted a year ago with a list price over $400, it's now $159 today. Great unit to pick up if you are driving this summer on a European vacation - very inexpensive unit with Euro maps. If not, the feature set is still very good for this price.

Garmin's new Nuvi 295 is 40+% off a $63 today only at Amazon, and probably only for a limited time. The new Nuvi gives you a Mobile Phone-like form factor with both portrait and landscape navigation views along with a good set of features including the basics like text to speech and millions of Points of interest to get you around the US or Canada, but also a 3MP camera and WiFi to enable features like checking email, getting attachments in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and in PDF's. Two Deals on 5-Inch GPS Units: TomTom XXL 540S and Garmin Nuvi 1450
The move to 5-inch screens across 2010 has yielded a few great deals on the new standard for widescreened units, offering some deals that offer great value and functionality in the new bigger real estate versions.
The TomTom XXL 540S is a text to speech unit that offers some nice features at $99. Complete with advanced lane guidance, a fold flat mount and their advanced IQ routes to help create more accurate routing times the XXL540S also comes with maps of the US, Canada and Mexico.
Similarly the Garmin Nuvi 1450 offers text to speech, lane assistance with junction view and multipoint routing (think a set of errands). The Garmin comes in a little higher at $129, and comes with North American Maps.

Amazon has a lightning round going on right now for the TomTom XXL 540TM for $99 - the last time we saw it was earlier this month for $119. Hurry - just a few minutes left.
Maps of US/Canada, IQ Routes for realistic travel time estimates, lane guidance to make sure you know which lane to be in at crazy interchanges, 7 million Points of Interest and more. Again - This is the best deal on a GPS I have seen since Black Friday - jump on it if you want to buy a GPS.

More Amazing Amazon GPS Deals - TomTom GPS Units Up to 40% off
Amazon continues to hit it out of the park offering up so many deals, it is hard to keep track of them.
TomTom is selling a large array of GPS units for up to 40% off. What amazes me is that there is such a robust selection right around the $100 mark, starting as low as about $89 for a decent widescreen. I can't even recommend that you get a "standard" 3.5-inch screen anymore with these prices. The widescreen is such an advantage with little up-charge.

For the extra $10 on the respective models - really think hard about the 5-inch units - the extra space can really help.

Another day, another deal - the Nuvi 1300 is a good entry level widescreen that offers a lot of value. Lifetime Map upgrades are included in this unit, a retail value of well over $50 if bought for another model after the fact.
Maps of the 48 states plus Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are included in this unit.
